Prabal Gurung has snagged one of the world’s highest paid models for his latest ad campaign, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at her. Her trademark light locks now raven black, Victoria’s Secret model and Transformers:Dark Side of the Moon actress Candice Swanepoel writhes seductively, interpreting Prabal’s inspiration for this collection, Nobuyashi Araki’s “Sensual Flowers”.

It’s a stunning set of vivid color on black and white, and makes the clothing look every bit eye candy as it did going down the catwalk.

And this is why I love the shows overseas just a wee bit more – they tend to go ballistic with creativity.

Karl Lagerfeld has been on a roll lately, what with the banquet runway and now this, Air Chanel.

This is a luxury liner, no question. Numbered seats, Chanel logo carpeting, sky views and 62 couture outfits.

I love this little number. It has ombre, a denim-ish look, and sparkles? Sold.

Jason Wu for Target will be sold online and in stores with a collection of scarves and totes. The designer is also knocking off his signature pet Miss Wu, an owl that graces many of his high end accessories. In her place comes MiLu, a curious curled up cat.

While nothing is like the real deal, this Jason Wu line is definitely the look for less. This 53 piece collection inspired by An American in Paris is sure to be a sellout like Missoni, so plan your shopping accordingly.

Event, Chicago: Chanel SS 2012 Trunk Show Today, Newly Designed Space

The Neiman Marcus redesigned Chanel shop on Magnificent Mile holds first trunk show for ss 2012 season

Today from 10am – 4pm, explore the new Chanel space inside Neiman Marcus and get first view of the SS 2012 collection. Three months in the making, the new shop was designed by architect Peter Marino who designs for all Chanel locations worldwide. The revamped space boasts a multi-panel video column which features current season runway video, gilded bamboo-like textured wallpaper, and crimson seating with gold accent pillows.

A focal point that is unique to the Chicago location is the inclusion of a distinct arched window. Wendy Krimins, vice president and general manager of Neiman Marcus said she knew that the windows overlooking the city were on the other side of the wall and was pleased when the decision was made to expose the view. Tearing down the wall and fitting new glass panes was a challenge, but the end result is a dramatic backdrop to shop.

The new space also showcases select accessories such as jewelry, shoes and handbags. Chanel is redesigning their handbag area on the first floor of the store with square footage equaling the boutique. The new look should be completed by April.

Project Runway and the highly anticipated All Stars season is about to begin! What do you think about these 13 designers battling out for a second round? None of the All Stars include any season winners, so it will be a chance to let new talent shine. The spotlight certainly is on the entertaining Scarlett, no? Will we see as many ball gowns as we did Season 1?

Project Runway has upped the ante for this “fan favorite” based season and partnered with Neiman Marcus on several counts:

First up, Neiman Marcus Fashion Director Ken Downing will make appearances as guest judge/host on the first and last episodes of the show.

Second, the famous Project Runway wall? Neiman Marcus is known for fabulous accessories, and the wall will be adorned with selections for the designers . When the designers get the call to style-out their looks, they’ll be selecting pieces from NM to complete the look.
Last but not least: The All Stars victor will see his or her collection in five Neiman Marcus locations as well as online at NeimanMarcus.com (Can you imagine seeing your own line in a shopping destination like Neiman Marcus? Dream come true!)

The show will provide tension, angst and textile eye candy for 12 weeks and is hosted by Angela Lindvall. Judges include Joanna Coles (Editor of Marie Claire), Georgina Chapman and Isaac Mizrahi.

If you were on my Facebook site around Fashion Week, you might remember me posting on this mystery necklace that was appearing seemingly EVERYWHERE. I began to wonder if this gorgeous piece was getting handed out as party favors. Alas, I finally found out that this is a Pegasus Necklace and it can be purchased here . The reason it was everywhere? Turns out it was pulled by Lucky Magazine and Vogue for editorial shoots, so I’m not the only one with good taste. This is a show stopper and looks as well with a dressed up look as it does casual.
