Luscious Lashes Made Memorable this Memorial Day Weekend via Sephora launch
Let me guess: The thought of having brow-brushing eyelashes is enticing, but you are put off by the many possible side effects associated with certain products?
I concur. That’s why I was so excited when asked to try Talika Lipocils Expert, a triple run lash enhancer without any frightening science experiments. Here is the good science:
What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Sulfates
- Synthetic Fragrances
- Synthetic Dyes
- Petrochemicals
- Phthalates
- GMOs
- Triclosan
Research Results:
36% longer (up to 4.4mm)
+50% darker
+50% curl
Ideally, you would use a twice a day, 28 day course, then once a day for maintenance as Talika suggests. I started the treatment back in March but was asked to hold off a review until May, because the product wasn’t actually launching until then. Not a problem.
I have medium lashes, with a slight curl. Not the worst, but not the best. I’m kindof an ideal candidate. Here’s what I found:
You don’t need a lot of product. I have sensitivity to product in the eye area. The directions call to use Lipocils Expert day and night. For the first week, I had a lot of tearing and irritation. I chalk that up to too much product being used. I was trying to get used to applying with the felt tip along with the mascara wand. Obviously I was overdoing it, because once I minimized the amount of product I applied, that solved the problem.
My lashes responded almost immediately. Another reason I felt I could cut back was that I could see a difference after that first week. The difference is very clear when mascara is applied. My lashes look as ginormous as they can get before going fake.
My lashes are already dark so I can’t really comment on the ability to darken eyelashes.
The curl factor is impressive. This is my favorite part! I have to use an eyelash curler to get that wide-eyed look. Lipocils Expert makes it so much easer. I currently use DiorShow Iconic mascara, which aids in curling. Lipocils Expert boosts the performance of my lashes AND the mascara, really giving me the most for my money.

A quick trip into the life cycles of Shellac. See for yourself how the nail beds look after 27 days.
Client Carly responded immediately to the announcement of Shellac and changed out her color at day 14, even though it was perfect, to mix it up for her vacation. She ended up breaking a nail and bending others in a luggage mishap, but was so blown away that the polish still looked great, and held together other nails that bent, that she sent a photo right from the plane. “I think it would have been much worse if I hadn’t had the the Shellac on.” Luvs!
Another thing – Carly is a salon owner, so her hands take a beating with dye and water daily. Her manicure remained beautiful.
At day 13 she came in to trim back the broken nails and selected another Shellac color. She’s hooked, and so are we!

I’ve been working with Shellac for the last month and have to say, it is an amazing product! I finally had a minute to swatch but had to stop because of the rain. The largest photo is Negligee, which is one of the most requested colors. L to R: Negligee, Strawberry Smoothie, Romantique, Rose Bud, Tropix, Hot Chilis, Cappuccino, Cream Puff, Fedora(more to come)
I was inspired by the vivid pastels at Versace and the splashy florals at DKNY. I created this collection to reflect the youthful, fun-to-wear flirty frocks. ~ Essie Weingarten
essie’s summer 2010 collection release is right around the corner, and the colors are all based on the concept of fun! Indeed, Essie Weingarten, President and Founder of Essie LTD, based these beautiful colors on the feminine looks revealed during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.
Pick yours up once June rolls around at your favorite beauty haunts, now including Target.
NYC’s SATC 2 premiere was a raging success. Here’s to the rest of us poor slobs that have to wait three (or more) days to watch the ultimate chick flick of all time.
I’m disturbed by a couple of things in this photo, namely SJP’s boobs masquerading as Miranda’s hair bow. Knock that off.
I do think SJP’s hair is looking great. Very Molly Sims.
