Osswald Boutique hosts Francis Kurkdjian for Fashion’s Night Out
I always like a twisty take on FNO, and new Swiss boutique Osswald shared beauty and parfumerie secrets by flying Francis Kurkdjian to New York for Fashion’s Night Out. Editors and FNO guests were treated to autographed bottles of his unique scents, all while quaffing prosecco. Beautiful space!
Nicole Miller: CND’s Galaxy Glam Nails – s 2013 Fashion Week
CND matched the 80’s inspired sci-fi prints at Nicole Miller with Galaxy Glam nails created by Candice Manacchio.

Polish nails with Blackjack
Overlap by sporadically sponging on (in this order):
- Studio White
- Pink Bikini
- Mint Green (Green Scene, couple drops of Bicycle Yellow, Studio White)
- Brush on with Crimson Sparkle and customize with “stars” dotted on if desired
Outline nails again in CND Blackjack Colour, and match with pedicures in Blackjack.

Peter Som Custom Zoya Color for NYFW Spring Summer 2013
Zoya once again created a BOMB signature nail set for designer Peter Som for s 2013.
Taking a page straight from the color trends for the season (more on that soon), Zoya created a “Women on the Verge” set to define “Refined…Chic…Edgy” in all.
The Colors:
Zoya in Jacqueline is a perfectly balanced opaque nude cream with cool and warm undertones (Linen, anyone?)
Zoya in Neely is a a full coverage opaque creamy mint with subdued undertones.
Zoya in Sharon is a full coverage creamsicle orange. A subtle and soft interpretation of bold color.
The Look:
Layers and color blocking for the woman on the verge.

Gucci Westman, Jin Soon Choi and Revlon backstage at Rag & Bone: Fashion Week s 2013

WHAT: Revlon Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman, created a strong but feminine look by giving models a structured brow with a subtle cheek, lip and eye for rag & bone’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection.
“I wanted to create a look that was bold, but still looked soft and natural,” says Westman. “I was inspired by the iconic supermodels of the 90’s and the great structure of their brows. I kept the makeup very pure, adding just a touch of natural flush to the lips by mixing two lip products together, and I used a brow pencil to create subtle freckles and a dramatic brow to top the whole look off.”
To recreate the white hot nail look worn by half of the models, celebrity manicurist Jin Soon Choi suggests creating a short square shape that’s slightly rounded and then smoothing out the ridges with a thick base coat to prepare them for polish.
“White can be intimidating to wear,” says Choi. “To guarantee a finished look, you should always use three coats, as it ensures that the polish will look perfectly opaque and smooth.”
