Turn up summer’s most requested color a notch by applying a dusting of Yellow CND Additives over two coats of cured Tropix Shellac. Topcoat for a brilliant persimmon orange that looks cream but retains a beautiful sheen. 
Face-kini
Fair skin has always been the rage in China, but some local residents are going to extremes with a new trend. Dubbed the Face-kini, these horror movie/robber-esque getups ensure the ultimate protection from the rays:

Not everyone is keen on the look, and it is so new residents have to ask each other about the meaning of the masks. It isn’t uncommon to see fashion patterned face masks in Asia to help ward off choking down lungfuls of smog, but is head gear a bit extreme?
Once relegated to the crafty DIYer, facekinis are now being sold on the beaches to trendsetters for up to the equivalent of $4 USD per mask. Conspicuous and fashionable consumption indeed.

Canada’s most hated performers joined forces when Avril Lavigne accepted a proposal from Chad Kroeger. Honestly, I don’t quite get why they are so reviled – most of their tunes have a good beat and you could probably dance to them. But that’s neither here nor there. This is Chad’s first marriage and he’s sealing the deal with a 14 carat wonder. Avril is coming down off a 3 year hiatus after a divorce from Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley and inspirational 2 year fling with hottie Brody Jenner. Those spiky blond Canadians hold something dear to Avril’s heart though. Kroeger and Lavigne met while working on tunes for her new project. It’s a whirlwind 6 months romance. CND Shellac and Minx provide gold medal coverage for Olympic athletes
If you missed all of the fabulous nail coverage during the Olympics, well, frankly I’m little shocked. But never fear! We have a collage to help you tap into all of the nail madness provided by the amazing CND educators and partners Sweet Squared across the pond. A combination of CND nail art and Minx allowed these competitors from all over the world to proudly display their nail art and national flags.
Ready for a little trivia too?
- 216 bottles of Shellac were used on the athletes at Rowing, Canoe and Sailing Villages
- 588 bottles of CND Solar Oil were used/given to keep hands and feet conditioned (you thought it was just pecs?)
