L to R: Thanks So Muchness; Mad As A Hatter; Absolutely Alice; Off With Her Red
I didn’t have my camera set to a high enough resolution, BUT you can see these are pretty amazing. Both reds could be replaced, but Thanks is gorgeous to the point of looking like racing car paint. Off With Her Red is a creme we have seen a million times before and can be skipped completely . However, Mad As A Hatter and Absolutely Alice are brilliant glitters. AA is not a solid blue, it is sprinkled with round silvers.
OPI’s Alice In Wonderland releases everywhere in January.

Get your hands on Orly’s early, limited release: Matte Metallic collection. Dubbed Metal Chic, the 3 new colors consist of a gunmetal (Iron Butterfly), matte gold (Solid Gold) and matte Copper (Glam Rock).
Even though this collection is small, it now brings Orly’s matte count to 6 (see previous post on fall release here). I’m appreciating that Orly is taking the matte trend slowly and producing some very pretty colors. Matte Metallic is flat out gorgeous IRL, with Iron Butterfly suitable for men or women.
If you are in the Milwaukee area, bottles have been spotted in Sally Beauty on the East Side. Orly recommends using the Orly Bonder Basecoat with no topcoat, although I have had very good wear with previous mattes.
If you linger too long, you’ll have to wait until February 2010, when the collection becomes available everywhere Orly is sold. Better not pout!

Update on the sale of Brittany Murphy’s home here
Brittany Murphy has died from cardiac arrest, TMZ reports. A call was made by her husband at 8am this morning to emergency. Brittany had a tough year with rumors of drugs and husband controversy, but I don’t think anyone saw this coming. Will miss her beautiful smile and quirkiness that made her very endearing. The story continues to unfold.

Serums address specific issues, such as anti-aging, as a highly concentrated cocktail of skin goodies. Serums are not moisturizers and most must be combined with a moisturizer and applied on damp skin.
If you are a fan of natural and organic products, jeune d’age organics is a line to explore. The company sent a 30-day supply of one of their popular products from this newly launched (2009) line.
Housed in biodegradable box that is suitable for gifting, the eco packaging follows Pangea’s suit for their soap line by urging the consumer to plant when completed for a new garden. The serum also comes pre-packaged for precise dosage amounts (.05 oz), enough to cover face, neck and decolletage. This makes it perfect for travel.
- The ingredient list is a who’s who of skin loving raw materials and antioxidants: Meadowfoam, Rose Distillate, CoQ10, Hyaluronan, Vitamins A,B,C,E and more in an organic aloe base.
- There are no artificial fragrances or parabens in this product.
- The rose comes through with almost a lemony touch to the scent. The product is very liquid and cool on the skin.
I liked the product; it also had a very cooling effect when applied. On my skin, the serum did not completely penetrate, but that seemed to have no bearing on how it performed.
The serum pack sells for around $40, but jeune d’age organics is offering special pricing on their gift pack, which includes serum toner with pads, cleanser and moisturizer. It is always a treat to be able to review a natural and organic line, and it is clear that the development of the product line and relationships are important to the founders.

In a moment of temporary insanity I purchased this haircolor:

Last month it was blue dye, which I didn’t go through with. Wish me luck. #midlifecrisis
